The University of Hawaii at Hilo went into overtime for the 8th time this season but couldn’t break the hex as they dropped the match 2-1 in double-overtime to Hawaii Pacific University in the Pacific West Conference match in Kaneohe, Hawaii.

The Vulcans are 3-11-4 overall and 2-7-3 in the PacWest while the Sea Warriors are 10-7-1 overall and 8-5 in the PacWest.

In their eight overtime matches this year, the Vulcans are 0-4-4, losing three times in double-overtime and once in the first overtime period.

The Vulcans took the lead on Nathalie Palacios' pop over the goalie. Gina Tumasone got the ball down the line to Alysia Salvador. She crossed it to the center where Palacios scored.

The Sea Warriors tied the game seven minutes before the time ran out to send it into overtime.
