The University of Hawaii at Hilo fell to Notre Dame de Namur University 2-1 in a Pacific West Conference match on Amauulu Field in Hilo, Hawaii.
The Vulcans are 6-8 overall and 5-3 in the PacWest while the Argonauts are 7-8-1 overall and 7-7-1 in the PacWest.
Jeremy Adams' crossing shot from the right side found an undefended Vinnie Muscarella. Muscarella punched the ball in with seven minutes remaining in the game to bring the Vulcans within one goal of tying the game.
Aggressive defense was played by both team with the Vulcans recording 10 shots and 14 fouls while the Argonauts tallied 11 shots and eight fouls. Vulcan goalies had three saves while their counterparts had five.
