First day slowed by rain

Nicole Aoki is tied for 10th place after the first day of the rain-shortened Sonoma State University Invitational on the Santa Rosa Golf and Country Club in Santa Rosa, Calif.
Aoki recorded a 7-over-par 79 on the 5,742-yard, par 72 course to lead the team to an 8th place standing in team competition.
Also in the field are Randi Ono (T14, 80), Dayna Bersamin (T21, 81) and Jodie Borchert (45th, 106).
