The University of Hawaii at Hilo claimed second place at the Brigham Young University-Hawaii Men's 8k Invitational on the Laie, Hawaii campus course.
Stefano Barbis led the Vulcans with a second-place finish in a time of 25:50.
Garrett McAllister (26:14) and Keoni Ucker (26:17) finished 7th and 8th, respectively. Also in the race were Nick Hagemann (27:30, 14th), Zack Johnson (27:42, 16th), Justin Pang (29:00, 23rd) and Derek Dominguez (30:47, 25th).
The Vulcans 47 total points trailed first place BYU-Hawaii (24) and were just five points ahead of Hawaii Pacific University.
