It's the score that matters
Saturday, October 3rd, 2009
It was ugly but the University of Hawaii at Hilo took at 2-0 win over Chaminade University in a Pacific West Conference match in the Central Oahu Regional Park.
The Vulcans are 4-5 overall and 3-0 in the PWC while the Silverswords are 1-5 and 0-3.
“It was nat a pretty game to watch because of all the fouls,” UHH head coach Cam Camarena said. “Nearly a foul a minute.”
Forth-seven fouls were called in the game with Vulcans picking up 21.
Although the Vulcans were out-shot 12-9, goalie Dane Kaylor did a great job of picking up seven saves.
Eduardo Gutierrez got the game-winning goal on an unassisted scored just before half.
As time was expiring, Omar Garcia and Gary Diego connected with Logan Montenegro for the final score.
