The University of Hawaii at Hilo finished 21st out of 25 teams at the NCAA Division II West Regional at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, Calif.
Nina Hagemann finished the 6k race in 24:01.4 minutes to finish in 87th place. Her time was 3:52.5 minutes behind the medalist.

Nina Hagemann
The University of Hawaii at Hilo women’s cross country team finished third in the 2009 Hawaiian Airlines Pacific West Cross Country Championships held in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, Calif.
The Vulcans tallied 99 points in the seven-team race with Brigham Young University-Hawaii taking top honors with 22 points. They were followed by Hawaii Pacific University (42), UHH, Academy of Art University (104), Grand Canyon University (126), Notre Dame de Namur University (151) and Chaminade University (154).

Kirsta Andrew finished fourth at the Brigham Young University-Hawaii 5K Women's Invitational on the Laie, Hawaii campus course.
Andrew finished the course in a time of 19:28.
