The University of Hawaii at Hilo placed four players on the 2009 all-Pacific West Conference second team as released by the PacWest Office.
Earning that recognition were senior forward Logan Montenegro, sophomore forward Vinnie Muscarella, senior midfielder Luis Segovia and senior goalkeeper Ivan Mercado.

After giving up a goal just 46 seconds into the game, the University of Hawaii at Hilo woke up, took charge and beat Chaminade University 6-2 in a Pacific West Conference match on Amauulu Field in Hilo, Hawaii.
The Vulcans end their season at 10-10 overall and 9-5 in the PacWest while the Silverswords are 3-14 overall and 2-12 in the PacWest.

A foul led to the score which handed the University of Hawaii at Hilo a 2-1 loss to Hawaii Pacific University in Pacific West Conference soccer action in Kaneohe, Hawaii.
The Vulcans are 9-10 overall and 8-5 in the PacWest while the Sea Warriors are 12-2-2 overall and 9-2-2 in the PacWest.
