The University of Hawaii at Hilo women's tennis team is ranked 7th regionally and 39th nationally in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association pre-season polls.
Senior Christie Pagatpatan is ranked 12th in the region's top-15 singles poll.

Eve Castaing and Christie Pagatpatan
University of Hawai‘i at Hilo sophomore Eve Castaing (Dax, France/Borda) and junior Christie Pagatpatan (Waipahu, Hawai‘i/Waipahu) repeated as all-Pacific West Conference women's tennis selections.
The Vulcan doubles tandem earned second-team honors this year after claiming first-team honors in 2008. The twosome posted a 14-9 (.609) dual-match record to place seventh in the league in winning percentage and fourth in total victories.

The University of Hawaii at Hilo dropped a 5-1 match to Hawaii Pacific University on the UHH tennis courts.
For seniors Akimi Kifune, Kari Rodrigues and Nicole Campbell it was the conclusion of their four-year collegiate careers.
